DANCE ADJUDICATOR ANNOUNCEMENT

JILL BALDOCK - has been an adjudicator for The British & International Federation of Festivals and All England Dance for over 20 years. Having adjudicated in Australia, Sri Lanka, Gibralta and the entire UK!

Jill has a love and passion for all things theatrical. Her vast and full career has given her the knowledge and desire to inspire the next generation of performers.

Her training started at the Hylton Bromley School in Merseyside and continued at both the Royal Academy of Dance and The Place.

Jill worked as a professional dancer, performer, choreographer, director and producer for many years; working in TV, Theatre, Cabaret and the West End - shows included "Kiss Me Kate", "Carousel", "The King and I", "Oklahoma", "Fiddler on the Roof" and many more. Also producing cruise shows, children’s plays, summer seasons, pantos and even Shakespeare! Also, at the same time, developing her own theatrical & management agency.

Her love of teaching took her back to the studio and taught for the Italia Conti School, the Derbyshire and Surrey Arts Councils, Pineapple Studios, whilst running her own Performing Arts School.

She then diverted her career into the music business, producing for EMI, Virgin, Carlton and recorded many artistes - Shirley Bassey, Howard Keel (in Hollywood!), the London Philharmonic and many, many more. She had the honour of producing the official recording for the Queen Mother’s 100th birthday. Also, at that time, her music publishing & production company was awarded the coveted Ivor Novello Award.

“I still love the mix of theatrical challenges and cannot wait to adjudicate your fabulous festival. Good Luck to everyone!”
